Irene Montini

Biography

Irene Montini born in 1994.

 

Her photographic work draws from a personal, dreamy and surreal imagination, where reality gets demolished every time in order to recreate a new one. With a unique and extremely outlined vision, Irene strengthens her artistic stature, with original visual interpretations, always in balance between fashion and art.

 

Since she was a child, she likes to hang around the music and theater scene and studies violin for eighteen years. She attends the Fine Arts High School. She then moves on to LABA of Firenze (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti, Fine Arts Free Academy) where she graduates in Photography cum laude in June 2018.

 

In 2017 she starts collaborating with Rocco Gurrieri, with whom she realizes videos, fashion movies and stop-motion animations. In 2017 she exhibits the project “L’estranea (The stranger)” in the Critique Gallery of Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas and in 2018 her work piece, UFO in the Merlino Gallery of Firenze.

 

In the meantime, she works for companies such as Luisa via Roma, Giabs, Ferragamo. In 2019 for Salvatore Ferragamo Museum she also realizes the catalogue of the exhibition “Sustainable Thinking” and co-directs the documentary of the exhibition.

 

From May 2019 to July 2019 she publishes editorials and videos for Contributor Magazine, Schön Magazine and Sleek Magazine, Just Magazine, Luisa via Roma.

 

Some of her photographs have been published on magazines such as Loom-est, FGUK magazine, Soma magazine and Photovogue. Special mentions on La Nazione, La Repubblica, Il Corriere della sera, Io Donna, Lampoon, Marieclaire and Vogue Cecoslovacchia.
